The sculptures and switchplates with metal work are hand-forged before the enamel is applied.This page shows work before and after the enameling process.
The forged and welded form on the left is bare copper. The image on the right has been fired about 25 times to achieve the subtle color variations. When the firing is complete, all exposed copper surfaces are polished or patinated.
